Beachcomberby JuliBocComment: Great composition. Harsh lighting works because that's the environment you're trying to capture. Great character in the face. I like the out of focus ocean in the back. Very nice.

Brokenby DogAngelComment: Very nice emotion captured by twisted legs and hands in sleeves and eyes looking away. I like the muted colors as well.

A Pilot's Moment of Reflectionby todbedyComment: How the heck did you get this with the airplane reflected in the glasses?! I love it! It feels like the blacks could be a little blacker... maybe pump up the contrast very slightly. Great shot. Is he REALLY a pilot? He looks a little shaggy for a pilot. :)

Carpenter Chrisby naomikComment: Great composition and framing. Focus seems to be on bracelet more than the eyes. When I see this he doesn't look like a real carpenter. He looks like a young, hip dude who happened to pick up a hammer in a construction environment. I can't tell if that's good or bad. Black and white works well, only issue is focus.

His Sacrificeby ArcanistComment: I'd love to hear the story behind this. Grain works and makes it look like a painting. I wish lighting was a little better on the face.

Just a Good Ol' Boy by JawnyRicoComment: Great lighting to capture a glow on his face. My eye goes right to the face. Great expression. Black and white is perfect to bring the eye right to the face. Love it!

Night Shift Driverby APComment: Very cool shot. How did you get it so sharp in such low light? I wish the driver was looking at the camera so we could get the emotion in his face. That's the only part that's missing for me.

Soarby matrix_morpheusComment: Neat shot but I don't get how it's an environmental portrait. How did you get the black sky? Great composition.
