Bluebell Railway by DistantColoursComment: This is a great photo!! I would love to see this in BW with a ton of contrast to really make that smoke and brickwork pop, I think it would have a much more visceral impact on viewers. For myself, personally, I could then image I was on the steam train (not the Orient Express) that Hercule Poirot was on, ((eating miniature watercress sandwiches and complaining that the coal dust is settling on his suit)), traveling back to London, after a grand adventure. So much ore drama could be added to this. It is fabulous that you got to shoot something that most people never experience! |

Smoke 1by Pk395Comment: SO very close!!! the photo is tilted though and make your head tilt to compensate. In standard editing, you can get that paint brush and put it on white with maybe a 20% and paint that smoke, so that it stands out more,. Or you could dodge it a little. Also , something I do, is I hold my hands up, side by side look at a photo through my hands to see if there would be a better crop. I think if you cropped it in-between those outer plants directly on that white 'chair"(?) on the right hand side and just after that white/red pillar on the left, you would have had a good crop and more dramatic photo. Also, I am seeing, blue in teh sky at the middle of your photo, but then very grey at the left and right hand top sides. If you use a gradient filter set to blue(ish) you would have a great colour for the sky and it would increase teh colour in the upper building. |

role playby GeorgesBogaertComment: Urrrgg, I am starting to think that streetpigeon are on totally different side of the spectrum. I see the before, the nature, the undisturbed value of it, and it has invaded by man made structures. What was once, a peaceful time, place, nature, everything, is being overtaken by a concrete jungle as man takes over and takes away nature. I was one of your 7's. I got it. |
