thankyou ppl for your comments ..
both positive and 'negative' ..

i got a real boost from the positive ones .. thankyou ' . substr('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', strrpos('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', '/') + 1) . ' IreneM and ' . substr('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', strrpos('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21_F.gif', '/') + 1) . ' JulietNN .. two amazing photographers .. who i am very much in awe of .. :)
and from the negative comment i took away a positive .. .. thankyou ' . substr('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . ' LanceW ..

ie. i should have listened to my gut .. and not tried to second guess what the voters might like ..
in the 'real' world .. as in personally or professionally .. i would not have given her eye such intense sharpening ..
so another lesson learned .. :)
so thankyou all .. :)

I can certainly see where ' . substr('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', strrpos('https://www.dpchallenge.com/images/user_icon/21.gif', '/') + 1) . ' LanceW is coming from. But in all honesty, until he mentioned it, I didn't really notice it too much. For me, it is not about how sharp it is but (now it is pointed out) I can see the white in the iris as a little bright. So makes it look super sharp, I did originally give it a 10, then came back and gave it a 9 and the only reason, was not in fact the eyes, but the chin area near the lower lips, it wasn't as sharp as the top lip line. But I tell you what, anyone would be darn proud to have that stunning portrait on proud display. Wish I had known you when my kid where babies!!

Nice portrait, however, seems overprocessed and/or selectively sharpened/blurred. When it's obvious I lose interest. If the eyeball was that tach sharp even with a shallow aperture, so would the eyebrow so it is obvious you post processed this to the point it doesn't look real.

Great pose though. Would love to see the original
