Max 1by PaulComment: the DOF here is great. I love the angle of his face and how you got his eyelashes so sharp. One of my favorite ways to photograph is to focus on the lashes and use a shallow DOF and you achieved that well here. |

Jan 01 2010by JaimeVinasComment: Jaime you always have such gorgeous models!
love the red of the hair and lips, love the umbrella, almost seems like a backdrop, the crop is well done and thanks for providing light set up on this. it always helps to know how the light is done. |

Zanchristmas09-7web.jpgby gwe21Comment: Originally posted by ErikV: Nicely posed, I like the smile and direct look, lighting is excellent, and colors of his clothes are nice and rich. Skin looks a bit pale, but it is winter so he may not have seen much sun recently. The eyes seem a little less sharp than the hair and clothes, you might do some minor selective sharpening.

Erik, you are right, my children are the whitest white people ever!! So they always look so pale. sometimes I use a warming filter on my sons face so he doesnt look so pale, but I didnt do that here. thanks for the feeback. |
