Since it was requested I will from now on explain the setup of each and post processing:

Photo specs:
1) done in a studio setup with a white backdrop
2) I used 4 strobes. Two infront at 45 degrees and two behind above her at 45 degrees.
3) Used a chinese umbrella as a prop from Party City (custume and party store)
4) I shot this at F-11 and a shutter of 125 at 100 ISO

Processing techniques used:
1) did levels at each channel (RGB)
2) DId curves to find true whites and blacks
3) did selective Coloring and darkened the reds a little
4) Dodge the face and hair to show more of the lighting on her face and highlights on her hair.
5) dodged the eyes
6) Burned the surroundings of the umbrella to that it stood out more.
7) Did selective saturation
8) Sharpened the eyes, and lips

Looks like red heads are very popular models in January! lol! Very nicely done, and thanks for posting the lighting info.

Nicely done and thanks for sharing the Strobist info.
My only concern is about the eyes dodging, compared to the teeth, they look overdone, when over done, the teeth tend to look a bet yellow. I think having the teeth and eyes dodged at the same degree would add.
beside that, it is simply amazing and super great,
Cheers,

First impression:
What a gorgeous shot. The red hir, lips, and umbrella just giv ethis shot the wow factor. I love how the lines of the umbrella bring your eyes to the models face. Well done.

Suggested improvement:
Nothing I can think of now.

It seems like everytime I see a portrait on this site and open it, it is your work. I guess I'm attracted to your style? The colors in this one are awesome and thanks for including your PP steps in your notes. I may PM you with questions or to take a look at my work as I am trying to get more into potraits myself this year. That is , of course, if you wouldn't mind.

really nice shot. Even though her face does look a bit unnatural (compared to her shoulders) being so pale I like it as it reminds me of the Oriental white face paint they they used to use a lot. I personally feel that he head is tilted a little bit too far. In the head of the moment its always hard to look at the details but there is something white in her hair and there is a smudge (i think) above her left eye.

Ooooh, I love it Jaime. Its so exotic looking.

Thank you for posting your lighting set up. Not that I have all those strobes to easily get such a great effect -- but its nice to know so I can put those things on my wish list :)

I like the intensity of the colors and the smile and the placement of the umbrella to drive our eyes to her face (but it really doesn't need any help!). Well done.
