mei nüby PiechProductionsComment: Very nice. She's cute and you have some great lighting and color in this. My only nitpick is I think you may have pimped her eyes a little too much. They look artificially sharp to me. |

Custom Chopsticksby roby21112Comment: Like it, like it, like it! Nice lighting, plenty for my eye to explore, and the way you used DOF is spot on. A fave and an 8. |

Dinner and a Cookieby NobodyComment: Slightly on the high key side, I think you lost some fine detail in the rice and shrimp that you could have pulled in. |

On any Sundayby raishComment: I think with better lighting at a different time of day, this would have worked much better with me. I suspect your border may be getting some knocks. |

Sunby DiScComment: Not sure about this. The color of the wood looks a little odd, even knowing this was a sunset shot. I do like the oriental appearance that you found in this though. |

Top Ramenby GeneralEComment: Can't get too much more Asian than this. I remember reading that the man who invented instant Ramen noodles passed away only a couple of years ago.
Need a utensil to eat it with?

Indian Elephant God (ganesh)by thekfactorComment: I like what you've put together, but the DOF is just a little to shallow to show off all the nice detail of this.
Something else about this clicked with me and I looked at the filesize of this image. There is a lack of sharpness to this photo and I think most of it is due to the use of excessive JPEG compression. Your file size of only 45k indicates a highly compressed image and that is what is robbing a lot of the detail and sharpness from this image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one)
Most image editors have the ability to adjust compression somewhere in the file save dialog. Here is how it works in Paintshop Pro, along with more explanation of compression, if is is of any help:

Sushiby hajekaComment: Nice, but some highlights on the rice seem nearly blown. I think it's possible some more detail could have been brought out with the right adjustments. |
