Main Street Bizarreby hokieComment: Good set up and use of colors. I like how the four needles are so bright and crisp and the background is washed out a little. Definitely an interesting use of needles. :-) |

Life's a Benchby kathleenmComment: I think it might have been effective if just the bench and people were showing. The good thing about having a lot of people, though, is you can study each one and wonder what each was thinking. |

City of the Deadby arippsComment: Good colors. This shot would have also been good in bw -- then it would have had a darker mood to it. |

Industrial Backwatersby ManicComment: Black and white was a good choice for this. Makes it look "industrial" instead of green and brick. |

Toronto Wild Lifeby VitaliComment: Since part of the building is cropped any way, I think I would have cropped a little more off of the top, and placed the animal a little more up in the picture. Not much, but maybe a touch. |

The News on the Streetby vonnie1956Comment: This is a really neat idea. Would it have been possible to get closer so that you didn't have the street in the picture. Also, I was going to suggest maybe taking the picture from the stair side, but that may have cast a shadow. |

Inside Rural City Limitsby karmatComment: Pixelated look is because I had to crop it out of the larger version. You can only get so close to live groundhogs! (Sorry Zeissman, my camera is fine, my judgement was at fault this time.) As far as meeting the challenge, I will be stubborn and continue to claim, that yes, this does represent city life, "relative to where I live." I am glad to live in a town where I can walk at night, and feel safe, and we don't even always have to lock our doors at Wal-Mart. :-) Fortunately, except for a few stray teenagers, and grownups acting foolish, this is about hte wildest life we have around here. |

Alley McBarby MikeKruegerComment: Normally, I don't care for power lines, but in this shot, they give a really "urban" feel to the picture. The colors seem kinda muted to me, so I would try either adjusting saturation or trying it in black adn white. |
