I like the composition and the focus. Her skin seems a bit "orange" or warm, though.

I like the focus in this, and good capture of the water drops. I'm seeing a weird texture, though, and I can't tell if it is artifacts from resizing (not typical artifacts, if that is what it is), the texture of the flower, or a filter you have added. It's mildly distracting, but otherwise a very nice shot.

That is gorgeous. The only negative comment I could make is that I think it would be stronger compositionally if the sun and people were either on the left or right, but not so much in the middle. The eyes tend to go up and down between the two, but there is nothing to attract the eyes to look at the rest of the picture.

Good focus and I like the contrast between the blues and yellows. I also think the centered composition works for the shape of the flower. I really don't like the grey on the edge of the petals or background, though.

Nice slice of life shot. The movement of the people really gives it a sense of "rushing." Not sure I really like the selective desaturation, though it does seem to help set up more contrast between "moving" and "still."

There is an eye in the cloud looking at me. That's eerie.

Lovely landscape, but it appears a bit *muted* or flat to me, I think. I can't really put my finger on it, but maybe it needs a bit more contrast, or something.

He looks more bored than piercing. :) This is awesome though. The foreground leaves being out of focus gives it a very natural feel and I love the depth of color that you have gotten, here.

CRITIQUE CLUB CRITIQUE

My initial response is that, "Boy, this cow is gonna get you!"

Compositionally, I'm not really fond of the straight on view of the cow or the straigth horizontal of the fence. Perhaps if it had been taken more no an angle, the perspective would have included some leading lines to add interest. However, taken as it is, the cow's head being in the left of the frame with the body leading to the left gives some "dynamicism" (I have no idea if that is even a word).

Technically, the sharpness of the nose and face of the cow, as well as the "richness" of the colors is really good. I like the "blurry" background as well. There is something about it that feels a bit too "dark" to me. Maybe it is the continuity between the cows darker colors and the darker background. I'm not sure it is something you could actually fix, but might be something to keep in mind, sometime.

In the minds of the dpc voter . .. .The fence wasn't as obvious as many were (you acknowledged this in your comments), BUT it is a fence and it is an important element of the picture. The comical expression of the cow probably allowed you to receive a higher score than if it were just a regular old cow standing there, so on that merit, great capture. I could see this being in one of "Farm and Ranch" or "Country Living" magazines' "caption this" contests. Great work.
