Bubbles.jpgby phatphotoComment: I really like that this is an adult blowing bubbles instead of a kid. Nothing against kids, but it really adds to the interest of the shot. |

Day 1: Kibble again??by cginoComment: That is a lot of cats!! I like how the background also includes cats. If they were people instead of animals, it would look like one of those photojournalistic type shots where they are interviewing one person, but several of the family is hanging out behind them. |

Upper Crustby JutildaComment: Since I have not had breakfast or lunch (I hate always running late), this shot is making me hungry! I like the warm colors -- gives it a fresh out of the oven feeling. Or maybe that is just my stomach talking. |

1: duckpin bowlingby muckpondComment: Nice shot! The perspective really gets the viewer in there. Also, all those things that a photo "needs" are missing -- sharp focus, no noise, straight lines, nice colors, etc, and I think that is exactly what makes this shot work! |

Joy-Day-1-Oct-challenge.jpgby joynimComment: I like this background better than the other one, but it feels like you are almost looking up at her, and for some reason that feels a bit unnatural to me. Again, though, beautful girl, beautiful exposure. Very nicely done. |

Nim-Day-1-Oct-challenge.jpgby joynimComment: I think the exposure on this is great. Her face is beautifully lit. Heck, her face is beautiful. To someone who doesn't know her, the expression actually looks very natural, almost amused, even. |

Savannahby GordonComment: FWIW, in my humble, uneducated, consistently low scoring opinion, *this* shot met the challenge of "impressionism" better than some at the opposite end of the spectrum. Go figure. :) |

Is this thing loaded?by QuigleyComment: I like the contrast in this one, but I think I like the lighter version better because you can see more of his expression, and that adds to the comicalness of the shot. |
