Hannahby ZeissmanComment: This is quite nice... The composition is excellent and i particularly like the crop you chose on this photo... The dark background and the position of the subject create a nice 'negative' space in the image. The only critique I have is the uneven catch light in the child's eyes. Catch lighting is not easy all the time, but this is very close... great work :) = 9 - jmsetzler |

Contrastsby GraciousComment: This is a very nice idea... I love contrasts, as well as black and white images. I'm exceptionally glad that you didn't terminate the diagonal in the upper left corner. I think that the off balance symmetry here creates a very nice image... The only item here that I don't care for is the direction of the light. I would rather see the shadows from the black beads cast into the black side of the image where they would be invisible. Anglesby AgamemnonComment: I like the architectural implications in this photograph quite a bit. What it's missing in the architectural arena is a central point of interest. All of the windows in this view are imcomplete and the top corner of the upper building is clipped also. I do like the strong diagonal in this image. The blue tone in the sky looks a little uneven also... possibly from post processing.... Meets Challenge: 6 Technical Merit: 6 Artistic Merit: 5 Creative Merit: 8 WOW Factor: 5 Score: 6 - JMSetzler |

Dahliaby KazComment: beautiful :) I'm giving this photo a 10 even though i have a critique... the uneven lighting on the flower seems just a bit odd for me... however, the overall wow factor on this photo is quite impressive. I'm glad you chose black and white also :) = 10 - jmsetzler |

oops!by GinaRothfelsComment: very nice :) The blue background sets off the gold toned statue very nicely. Giving 'life' to inanimate objects is intriguing to me... good work :) = 9 - jmsetzler |

Eleven Dominosby EizlAwComment: This is a very interesting idea :) I like the concept quite a bit... the light on the first domino on the left seems a little bright, but everything else works nicely :) Meets Challenge: 10 Technical Merit: 7 Artistic Merit: 7 Creative Merit: 8 WOW Factor: 7 Score: 8 - JMSetzler |

crosswalkby austComment: This is a good example of negative space.... the subject of the image seems to be a bit weak to me though... I'm looking for some excitement that is not here :( the perspective of the guy walking across teh billboard is interesting though :) - jmsetzler |

Tormentby oniComment: This is really impressive. I RARELY get impressed with an image where the subject is centered like this one. The illumination of the water drop in this image is working very well here... it almost creates a yin/yang with the dark and the light inside the drop. I also like the texture of your surface. The theme or torment suggested here is quite impressive... This shot gets a 9 this week... I would go to 10 if the lighting control was a little stronger in the upper left portion of the image. it's just a tad bit hot up there to suit my taste :) Great shot... - jmsetzler |
