The Spirit Withinby mcraelComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
I believe that this is a nice abstract interpretation of the 'square' challenge. I really enjoy the way the light interacts with your ring box in this shot. The 'eyes' are also a really intriguing part of this image :) It's amazing at what you can really see if you spend enough time looking at this shot. I also really like the rotation of the ring box. The composition is much better with the diagonal orientation of the box...
Your title really goes well with the theme of this photo as well... I like an interesting title and I try to use them myself :)
Keep up the good work :)

It's all in the angleby CreativeFlyPhotoComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Ayme...
This is a nice macro shot. I also like your abstract square concept in this image. The colored beads add an interesting element as well. The depth of field creates a nice feeling by blurring out the beads and wires in the background... F4 seems to have been a good choice.
The diagonals created by the wiring are nice, but I think that if the diagonals were created with the larger posts on this container, it would create some more impact overall. Maybe if you rotated your camera about 30-45 degrees clockwise, these diagonals would be stronger...
Keep up the good work :) I think I'm gonna be at Disney World on March 15 :)

A square mealby snaperukComment: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Your 'square' concept in this image is easily understandable. The lighting is aslo nice and even for the image... I like the soft shadow underneath the plate on the front side.
The image lacks sharpness. As I look at your camera settings, I am a little lost. I think that the ISO 400 setting may have kicked your shutter speed up. I believe that a lower ISO setting would have slowed down the shutter, provided some more color saturation and possibly increased the sharpness of this image a little. I'm not sure what resolution the F601z is, so I'm not sure how to comment on that part...
Compositionally, this photograph is fine. It's nice and symmetrical and well-centered in the frame of view.
Keep up the good efforts :)
