Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Children make great photo subject :) I think this is also a nice choice of a 'cliche' subject for this challenge as well.

I believe the 'essence' of this challenge topic of 'cliche' was more than just to create a photograph of a common subject. In order to be successful in this challenge, you needed to create a better than average photo of your common subject... Your subject needed to be photographed in some unique way that sets it apart from your common images. This particular photo doesn't seem to have any extraordinary elements to set it apart from other standard 'child' photos. Maybe trying some extreme camera angles and natural light sources would help improve the overall impact of the shot :)

Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Kodak...

Children are definitely great subjects for photographs... especially in the 'cliche' challenge.

I like this composition... I think the harsh lighting adds a nice element to this photo... a little bit of surrealism maybe :) It also creates a sense of loneliness and content at the same time... The child is alone, but seems very content with whatever he is doing :) It reminds me of my own early saturday mornings as a child when I would get up before my parents and start my day on my own :)

One of the things I like about this photo is that normal compositional rules don't really apply. The strong perspective of the hallway really works well...

I'm sorry I don't have much that I can add to improve this photo... it looks excellent as is :)

Keep up the great work :)

This is an interesting concept of the cliche challenge.. As far as being considered 'cliche' I'm not sure... I can't recall seeing too many photos of this nature around :)

The color composition you chose on this gives it the feeling of a black light of some sort... It does have a nice abstract effect...

Compositionally, I don' believe that clipping the light fixture with the bottom of the frame is really helping anything... Moving it up in the frame may help out some :)

Keep up the good work!

The perspective in this shot is fairly interesting, but i think the overall subject matter may be a little weak overall. There is no color or any specific element of the photo that really grabs my attention... - setzler

Hello Pedro :)

This is a great child portrait photo... The exposure on the child seems a tiny bit dark, but the composition here is phenomenal... The most impressive part of this composition, for me, is the strong diagonal of the shoreline and the stick that the child is holding.

The toning of the image isn't my favorite option for color on this shot, but I really love the overall impact of this shot. I have no real critique for you on this one. I wouldn't change much about it at all... this is worthy of printing and framing :)

Keep up the great work!
