I guess I was a bit colorblind on this one.

I didn't adjust the color balance at all, just the intensity. Turning it more yellow would have certainly helped in the challenge.

The white dot is a star. The dark thing to the bottom left is a house top. It was taken at night after a snowstorm and as the clouds were breaking up.

It just goes to show how colorblind I am. Sure looked yellow to me, and the light! Wow! The Light!

Wow! Talk about light! Stunning. What's that white dot above the tree?
02/23/2003 09:08:38 PM
Very nice photo - great capture of detail. However, this is orange, not yellow, so does not meet the challenge..
02/23/2003 07:33:55 PM
Wow! I like the colouring. Not exactly yellow but it comes close. The dark spot on the lower left side is a bit distracting, but that's only a minor issue. Great photo!

I don't think mymonitor is that much off but I don't see yellow. I see plenty of red and brown, some with at the tips of the limbs, but where's the yellow.

Very beautiful...I have a preference to Night photos, too though. (C:

Lovely pic. It looks like a very dramatic scene, like the forest is on fire and this beautiful tree in the foreground is threatened by a bush fire. Very good capture of the tree and great background. Nice to see a bright star/planet and that the exposure didn't leave a star trail.
I like it how the trees at the right provide some framing and scale.

Yellow not red and orange...2
02/22/2003 02:16:25 PM
yellow?
02/22/2003 12:04:15 PM
Fiery image, not so yellow but I like it. The monochome is just great. What's the white dot there? (just wonder if it's frome the camera)
02/22/2003 12:43:16 AM
Wonerful shot, but my monitor shows no yellow!
02/21/2003 09:30:17 PM
That's not yellow
02/21/2003 08:39:40 PM
yellow?
02/21/2003 04:36:16 PM
yellow?
02/20/2003 08:23:47 PM
This is a very nice shot however I do not see the yellow
02/20/2003 07:37:39 AM
If this was more yellow and less orange I would have rated it highly.
02/20/2003 01:04:28 AM
nice idea, looks more orange than yellow
02/19/2003 05:31:00 PM
This picture is very neat, but I don't really see any yellow. Mostly orange.
02/19/2003 11:21:39 AM
The shot is certinally interesting, although the white dot that I assume is the moon is a little distracting. However, I dont really see this as yellow, more to be red/orange.

Wrong end of the spectrum and challenge theme.
02/19/2003 09:51:10 AM
Orange....
02/19/2003 12:13:44 AM
Nice rich saturation - my eye wants to see more of the lower tree, but I'm sure there was a reason for cropping it.
02/18/2003 04:43:41 PM
very nice pic but not that yellow, more red
02/18/2003 11:30:19 AM
lots of reddish-orange.....but great shot
02/18/2003 10:05:17 AM
This is a wonderful photo! However that white star is a little bothersome although you can't really help that can you, (No spot editing allowed!) As for the colour, well it would have been great for a "Red" challenge, but "Yellow"? Well I will give you the benefit of the doubt, because it really is borderline there.
02/17/2003 10:57:25 PM
Very pretty......but it's red! Whats the connection to yellow?
02/17/2003 10:54:39 PM
i love the color
02/17/2003 10:17:03 PM
This is an intriguing photo, but I see red, not yellow.
02/17/2003 09:29:53 PM
i cant see any colour yellow....
02/17/2003 06:41:51 PM
Very interesting picture! My only two nitpicks would be the distracting object in the bottom left corner, and the fact that the overall picture seems to be much more orange than yellow. A solid 9 though.
02/17/2003 05:07:47 PM
great picture but it is reddish orange.
02/17/2003 02:55:12 PM
This is very pretty, but I don't see how it fits the challenge "yellow"
02/17/2003 12:32:47 PM
This is a very interesting image overall, but the 'yellow' theme seems a bit week here... the color tone for me appears to be a deep orange or red.. maybe some hue adjustments in software would bring it back to life :) - setzler

GREAT tree, GREAT light, AMAZING photo! and a tiny bit of yellow....
02/17/2003 08:38:53 AM
nice photo but there is NO yellow. sorry
02/17/2003 03:31:32 AM
lloks orange, not yellow
02/17/2003 02:55:52 AM
is that the northern lights? look more red and orange but since orange needs yellow. blah blah blah... I like it.
02/17/2003 01:18:05 AM
Great shot but it appears deep orange to me?
