Peace in the Valleyby littlemavComment: Beautiful like a painting. A little too conventional for the craziness of this challenge, but I can't hold a good photograph against you. |

Sabiby noranekoComment: I don't care for the vignette/border, but everything inside the frame is terrific -- composition and color work off of each other to good effect. |

A long nightby tholmirComment: I appreciate the simplicity of interiors, and this is a good example -- nicely balanced and pleasing to the spirit. The shadows and light play off of each other and the rich reds hold it all together. The title, unfortunately, tends to bias the viewer and was probably unnecessary. |

Jealous! He only wishes Pittsburgh was this purple :D |
Well, there's that. And the Ohio River makes an awful seascape. |

Fishermanby MelethiaComment: Beautifully composed and good use of selective focus. I like the subdued golden lighting and the feeling that I too am in flight. |

Happinessby JuliBocComment: This feels right on so many levels. Your subjects, reduced to outlines, stand firm against the frenzy of nature surrounding them. The title is a little too suggestive. There's a sense of unity and bonding -- maybe happiness, but probably something more enduring. The picture reminds me of some of Harry Callahan's work. This will be high on my list. |
