Iaito is a beautiful and sublte art. I wish this photo reflected that better. Light from more than one direction, and at interesting angles would better bring out the details in the sword. A lower camera angle might create a composition that would fill the frame with the sword and not have so much bland reb background in the shot.

I like the tones in this picture. The narrow DOF leaves very little in focus and makes the composition almost abstract. The center of the flower seems overly processed. An odd combinationof real and unreal that leaves me a bit confused,

Beautiful light in this picture! I might crop more at the bottom - maybe make the line of grass divide the photo exactly in half or make the mist side even more than 50% of the picture. All that darkness at the bottom just draws my eyes away from the subtle tines and details in the mist which are truely lovely.

I like the way the water and the clouds look similar and are at cross directions - sort of like two skies. Nice light and tone. I wish the composition were more interesting that this almost centered one.

Interesting shapes and colors - I think cropping on the bottom might make a nicer composition - black on top and bottom draws my eye away from the subject. Seems a bit blurred.

Spring Greens

I love the golden green color you've captured. The composition has the quality of an old oil painting. I'm doing my best to ignore the frame which really distracts me. The reflections in the water the gray and white clouds suspended in the soft air. Very beautiful.

Cascade

A nice division between the falls, the basalt columns at the top and the riot of green and splashing water at the bottom. Wish the foreground were in sharper focus - the details of the leaves would make a nice contrast the the misty background of the falls. you must have used a longer exposure to blur the movement of the falls (works nicely!) but the leaves must have been blowing a bit? Lovely green color - Iceland in the summer is beautiful!

A very pristine picture - the cool soft water and the rough rock and the sharp red beak - I like the way you have made the composition off center. Good light, good focus - the bird gets a little lost in the lines of the water.

I like the abstract quality of the composition - the red and green shapes created by the narrow DOF. I wish we could see more detail on your ant - so little of her is in focus and there is a lot of shine and glare.

Wow! That is beautiful! I like your thoughtful composition - the diagnal curve of the line on trees complimented by the curve of the hill and the triangle of grass - the little touch of civilization on the left - almost a checkerboard of clouds and sky too. 8
