Scent of Corianderby BBBastetComment: Coriander? Cinnamon, Anaise, and allspice... Doesn't corriander look a bit like pepper? Let me d=go check my kitchen shelf...anyway, I like all the warm rusty color, and the composition of different shapes. The shinyness of the anaise seed compared to the roughness of the pod. The shadows beneath detract a bit - wish they weren't so obvios, or at least not so red. |

purely medicinal...:)by dc broughtonComment: I'm sure. This is in a jar? odd red reflection. And the silver thing at the top is a bit of a distraction. Maybe cropping in a concentrating on an interesting part of this picture would make a better composition. |

garlic breathby jackditchComment: very crisp and papery, maybe just a bit bright. I like the random pattern the cloves make. |

Gold, by Torrente by willemComment: intriguing effect on the upper left. Works well as a scent, the gold color goes well with the name of the parfume. The leaves at the bottom reflect the leaves on the bottle. Perhaps it is a bit busy, my eye wanders not knowing what to focus on. Maybe less leaves? |

Chocolate Chip Cookies. . . . fresh out of the oven.by ladpupmoeComment: Yummy, the chocolate does look warm and liquid. I baked cookies too, and tried to photograph them for the challenge. I kept trying to catch the steam that comes out when you break them open. Too hard! Yours look nice on the blue plate, but I don't think the narrow DOF does anything for it - if you had a whole platter full the depth might add to the photo, but with just a few I think having them all sharp would be better. |

Last Bloom of Summerby muckpondComment: A lovely photo, but I don't see how it meets this challenge - I'd vote an 8 on its own merits (the hands could be shaper ) I like the feel of the settting sun in the light... |

Around the Cornerby fdpiechComment: Sinister lighting, nice set up to give real expressions to these figures. I like the texture and detail that we see even in th box (Tho' I wish the box where just plain black so as not to distract from the figures) The bit of white band showing behind the "woman's" feet is distracting too. But obviously a lot of work and thought on your part, nicely done. 8 |

It's not always what you expectby Bela45Comment: An applerange! Delicious. A novel idea. I like the texture of the orange peel - light is a bit bright on the top right. The whole thing feels a bit over sharpened. |

Caught In The Actby channeledComment: Yes, she does look like she's up to mischief, and perhaps she's blurred because she never stop moving. But the kitchen floor background and the chair legs are distracting, and the red eyes from the flash take away from this beautiful little face. |
