this was definitely the better garlic shot. Deserved much higher than what it got.

Ewww garlic! Composition is good and it's nicely sharp and clear. A few of the bulbs near the top seem slightly overexposed and the detail has been lost somewhat. They are all very similar color/tone and so could probably have done with a little more contrast.

Nice clarity and color. A little washed in the top left, but very good overall

I absolutely love this image! The repetition of it while keeping its natural randomness with the texture and the tone is just perfect. 10

i think the skin of garlic has some good texture..if the lighting was a little less bright (or the shot was less exposed) and the highlights were not blown out as they are here (only some, mind you!) it would have improved this shot a lot. I love the full frame of it, and the subject matter is perfect. :)

beautiful, would have liked more contrast to bring out the textures more and direct side light could have helped that too.

Lighting a little too harsh, but, on right hand side of frame, nice detail in the skins. Good composition, interesting choice of b/w.

The lighting seems a bit bland, but that is made up for by overall good composition.

very crisp and papery, maybe just a bit bright. I like the random pattern the cloves make.

Nice textures and I like how the garlic fills the frame.
