"What belongs to others we don't want, what is ours we will never surrender"by KonadorComment: Ohh I love these old buildings. The bird in the sky adds an extra point of interest as well. I am no expert on Ben's work so I will not comment on that aspect of your photo - sorry :( However, excellent choice of B&W, great shadows and textures galore. The tilt/lean of the towers really add to the composition and I like the tall banks behind as there is so much detail in them. The slight vignette works well. Well seen and photographed. |

Visual Artby jbrightComment: Great textures and shapes and I like the light on the right middle column. I am no expert on Ben's body of work so no comment as to how it fits his style. I do find some of the whites lack texture which might hurt your score but the interesting shape of the building and the angle you composed the shot from should make up for most of the points you could potentially lose for that. You had a difficult exposure challenge to overcome with the dark skies and the white tiles. I hope you do well. |

Silver Dollar Diner, Newport News, VAby vawendyComment: Super choice to do this shot in B&W - the chrome is so shiny and the details are perfectly crisp - great job - congrats!

Jamie by fotomann_foreverComment: I am really happy for you Leroy, in that you finally got credit for the work that you do .. Amazing lighting, especially when you consider it is all natural .... I remember asking you to come out to CA to teach me how to light people the way you do (about 2005) .. (MacClavey)I hope to see many more ribbons in the near future. Jamie by fotomann_foreverComment: Well, nudes or even semi nudes have a difficult time getting their due vote so I voted this high for a couple of reasons .. it stands out from truly gratuitous nudes because she really looks the part of a cowgirl who is happy! The hat is well worn, the belly piercing is authentic looking. she is oblivious of the camera .. yep, just happy the hay making is done (grin)

Freshly Squeezed Againby giantmikeComment: A lot of work but a lot of taste too! Nicely done - I might have lit the glass a bit more to bring out the condensation (or added some moisture beads) but the colors are lovely and it's crisply in focus.
