This is really pretty and works well as a B&W.

Looks like an old mission building or some such. Lots of history here. A good imposing view point. There's something telling about the time on the clock. Is it stuck there, or is it a working clock? Could be midday sun, judging by the shadows. The bird adds some needed poetry, as does the double-edged title.

Terrific strength in this image. I love the way the bird brings life and spirit to the stone towers.

Ohh I love these old buildings. The bird in the sky adds an extra point of interest as well. I am no expert on Ben's work so I will not comment on that aspect of your photo - sorry :( However, excellent choice of B&W, great shadows and textures galore. The tilt/lean of the towers really add to the composition and I like the tall banks behind as there is so much detail in them. The slight vignette works well. Well seen and photographed.

I think that the quote made me guess the author, (some living near Montenegro, although the image could have been taken in southern France as well), but that's a trivial point.
I like it very much. It is a robust image that has violence and tenderness in the same time, some qualities that I personally appreciate in Ben's work.
A very fine shot indeed.

Close, but IMO I think it's a bit clean to be one of ben's, maybe if there were more drama in some way (clouds, moving birds etc). Still, nice image - 6
