Approach of the Bumblebee.jpgby SheryllComment: bbzzzzzzzzBzzzzzzzbzzzz
don' t you love that sound when you're photographing these guys? I love to follow their muffled bzz's into the center of a bloom; then you can hear the drone of the hummers...they persistently TAUNT me! and in b/tw, the slapping of my hand against my legs, arms, head, etc & the loud cusses at the darned flies driving me nuts!!
LOL
Nice capture here! |

Moon Flower Seed Podby BlueZamiaComment: IDEA!! slip a flower on that retaining wall, and post it here! You get heaven points for doing things like that for starngers, you know :)
I just worry that in your "less than reputable neighborhood", if you are down low & otherwise involved, someone may pop you on you rhead & snag the camera! OH NOOOOOOO!!!! :0
very fancy moon pod! I like how you've presented it here, like it's ready to hang on a wall. what attracts me if the diagonal line of the stem with the very multi-textured and clear pod angled for perfect placement in the frame.

Day Twentyby TuckersmomComment: the old & the new...I like the diagonal & the new blooms showing off as the old ones die. sigh...(I'm telling you-it's this darned RAIN!!) what I really find attractive are the little stamen all hooked, and clear, a sharp "ending" to the plant image
anyway, i think Hosta is one of the coolest flowers in the garden, they are beguiling & disarmingly interesting if one gets down & takes a look. Nice one |
