I'm very glad to see that this isn't what I thought it was in the thumbnail. Looks yummy, but I think I'd have to add the olives. Great colors and clarity.

I really like the graininess of the image and the lens flare also. Now, I don't know much about the Vivitar, but dslr's aren't all they're cracked up to be. Take a look at some of my images ;)

One more thing, you being friendly to the people reminds me of Will Ferrell in "Elf" when he got to Manhattan.

Great street photography... now go back and get something for the challenge. And just to BE a rebel, use the vivitar and submit the photo.

This is my preferred image. Although, there is a little bug there! Actually, what I like is the BG. It looks like a deisel truck, but not 100% sure. Leaves something to my imagination. Love the colors and border.

First of all, I am SO glad that was not a true joke that you started with. I have a terrible reputation (well earned, I might add) of not getting things very quickly. Very interesting history lesson, glad to hear you don't "work" the street.

Nice mix of textures and lines. I love the sky, as when I think of a pawnbroker, I think of the places people must be in to use one. So it all really just ties together nicely.

(ETA: was that a joke? Now I'm feeling dumb after reading the other comments..... must let me know.)

Those things are creepy. Add a plastic bag and I'm just purely frightened! I cringe at the things that are not only marketted at kids, but are so popular. Great image of this fear for me ;)
