That's a crazy image for sure Roz! Here is the story that I am seeing in it.... It looks like a pair of cloned hounds just exploded a huge blue bird with ad "Ronco Bird Detonator". They have those in the "for dogs only" department at the better pet sores.
You gave me a grin, so one back for ya. : )

This is a great bird shot. The background is just right, and the yawn is a very good catch. I like that the bird is standing on one leg too. Many birds sleep that way. I thought it was two birds in the thumb sized image.

That is a stately looking place. The wreaths are just the right amount of decoration to not upset the dignified look of the place. The very low angle makes the driveway lead right into the subject. At a different time of day, this would look even better, perhaps late or very early, when the lights are on and the sky is balanced in light level with the house.

I like your choice of location on the burner, because it makes lines leading to the can. The image as a whole is rather artistic. Nicely done!

Day 12 - Cookies!

It must have been a task to get the color to look ok working from a B&W image. If I want B&W, I always shoot color, then convert it later. It allows you to desat, and then adjust the 3 color levels to get the best contrast and levels for the image conversion to B&W. It is similar to using strong color filters and B&W film back in BC. (before cards)

Gabby looks very happy and as if she is proud that her mother cares enough to photograph a special time with her at her school. The unusual lighting with the one spot makes for a technically not right shot, but for some reason, it does not seem to matter with this image. I like the way the light falls off as it goes up across her face. It seems to add to the "live shot" effect, and strengthens the look of this being a capture of a moment to savor.

What a "happy time" snapshot. This is just a sweet little "slice of life" that you have shared with us. I like the tilt and frame for this shot. It looks like a shot in a photo album this way.

That was a lot of effort, and the image shows that you took time to get everything looking good while combining the exposures. It seems a little odd that there are no people moving around in the shot, but I guess it was cold out.
