It must have been a task to get the color to look ok working from a B&W image. If I want B&W, I always shoot color, then convert it later. It allows you to desat, and then adjust the 3 color levels to get the best contrast and levels for the image conversion to B&W. It is similar to using strong color filters and B&W film back in BC. (before cards)

Gabby looks very happy and as if she is proud that her mother cares enough to photograph a special time with her at her school. The unusual lighting with the one spot makes for a technically not right shot, but for some reason, it does not seem to matter with this image. I like the way the light falls off as it goes up across her face. It seems to add to the "live shot" effect, and strengthens the look of this being a capture of a moment to savor.

What a "happy time" snapshot. This is just a sweet little "slice of life" that you have shared with us. I like the tilt and frame for this shot. It looks like a shot in a photo album this way.

That was a lot of effort, and the image shows that you took time to get everything looking good while combining the exposures. It seems a little odd that there are no people moving around in the shot, but I guess it was cold out.

This is a very nice setting. It is not often we get to see the rainy day shots of these exotic places like this. The photo does a good job of conveying the essence of the experience. I hope the the rain didn't last long and mess up your vacation.

The night shot, the wetness, the B&W and the one light illumination combine to make this image sort of timeless. It's hard to tell if it was last night or last century. Good shot. I see the street light that isn't working just above the light on the building.
