botgarden.jpgby desertoddityComment: I find it interesting that the shape of the rock in the left foreground , and the water path combine to create an illusion that there is a shadow that does not fit right with the way the light is hitting the sculpture. I am neutral about the color addition. It would still be a nice shot without it, but it does add a dose of color to an otherwise unsaturated looking scene. I would try it in B&W, then add the color overlay or filter. The sky looks good in color. |

Day twelve.jpgby PhotomouseComment: I have looked at both the color and the toned version of this a couple of times each, and I like the color shot because I can see the statues much better in color. The sky colors blending into the Navy grey also adds atmosphere to the scene. |

Sunday Morningby RetroesqueComment: That is a fun looking shot. It's good that you had the very wide lens to put you close to the dog and make it the star of the shot. The B&W is working in this shot too. |

aveg.jpgby icu1965Comment: What a nice main street. It certainly looks like a town that I would be comfortable to live near. The sky and the time of day to get the traffic light help make this shot. |

tower.jpgby moondogComment: Nice photo of the old tower. They have a few of these around here too, but they belong to big land owners, and a few are still in use by the forestry service in this area. That must have been quite a task to run conduit up the leg. I think that I would have opted for running it up the stairway instead. |

Eagle3.jpgby moondogComment: Good shot for a surprise shot of a flying bird. I hope that you get to see him again, and that you get a better opportunity to get a shot. |

Day 12 IMG_0558a.jpgby JerseyGenieComment: Excellent capture for such a fast moving subject. The light and composition are just super. The border fits nicely too. |
