Flowerby JeniYComment: Good job with the reds which seem to easily over saturate. Flowers are a source of never ending subject material for photos.
Nice DOF too. |

Boatby JeniYComment: Great! I like the contrasty dodge and burn look of this shot. It's not "flat" at all but there is still a lot of detail. |

My Kittyby chesireComment: What a mellow cat. It looks like your daughter is doing what little girls do best, giving love. Nice family photo. |

Lassieby AliciaComment: These are pretty cool. I remember seeing one like the Lassie box, but didn't remember the paw prints around the edge. Thanks for the memory jog. The Singer machine box is interesting too. That's a crazy looking devil in the back.
Nice processing, and well framed to get the most out of the single shot without being cluttered looking. |

F I J I:P A R A D I S Oby hotpastaComment: When the water is this clear, riding the anchor pulpit is like riding in a fish bowl. It's one of my favorite things to do.
It's nice that you captured the edge of the reef as well as the big rocks in the background.
I wish you and your wife many more happy anniversary adventures. |

A New Balanceby karmatComment: Good trick!
This would make a good ad shot for "Lighter than Air" sneakers. I can visualize the video camera panning around a bedroom with some well known basketball player snoring in the bed, and the sneakers in this position at the end of the pan. The text over would read; "So light that you have to tie them down at night."
You got a grin for this one. |

Powers Building, Rochester, NYby smichenerComment: Nice contrast of "blue and old" ! I like the reflection of the older building in the new one in this shot. Looking down the comments, I see that this has been said already. I noticed the overall sharp focus, and see that you were shooting at f22. That was a good choice to get all the elements in focus. |

River Cage by pjangelComment: I remember seeing this image a long time ago. I thought that I commented on it, but maybe I forgot to check the "Post" button on the way out.
I like the colors in the vines, and the curved branches over the straight lines of the ominous looking cage. I have no idea about what the "cage" is so that adds a sense of mystery to the shot for me. The bare trees over it all also add a sort of spooky look.
I would think that this place may be good for another shoot when the trees are bare again, but very late or early in the day, and possibly with a moon in the trees to make the "spook" effect stronger. |
