Mushroomsby hajekaComment: This has very nice lighting, with the light filtering down through the tops on the stems, as well as being reflected from the sided. The overall effect is pleasing to look at. |

Pollardedby GeneralEComment: It is interesting to see how the shapes of the BG look almost like a cathedral just to the left of the foreground tree trunk. I am surprised that no one else picked up on that, or at least they didn't comment about it.
It's fun to go back to the earlier days of our digital images, and see what we were doing at that time and how it compares to what we are doing today. This is a nice capture for a grab shot. |

The End of the Worldby HipychikComment: Excellent use of W/B and color adjustment to achieve this powerful effect of warmth and cold at the same time. It's a bummer that the blue in the sky was lost to get the orange and red. It would be just awesome if the blue was still there for contrast.
It would be interesting to compare with the original to see how different it must look. |

SPLATTEREDby Art RoflmaoComment: For numero seveno, see if you can get a macro of the fear in their eyes when you walk back into the store with this mess. |

03 - Pine Needlesby ErikVComment: Simple and solid. You can certainly see the DOF on the finish of the car in this shot. Good composition too. It's sort of dynamic. |

6-october 08 macros. paper waspby rozComment: Awesome detail and great background for this sort of shot. It's good that you have time to go on your walks to get this sort of shots. |

06 - Leavesby ErikVComment: The 105 gives very shallow DOF at the aperture you chose for this. I am guessing that it was f4. It looks good on the leaves, but seems a bit distracting on the bud in the center for only the nearest point of it to be in focus.
I use one of the older manual Micro Nikkor 105 f2.8's and love it for it's very shallow DOf when shooting wide open. |

_DSC0378.jpgby sulamkComment: Very classy indeed! The sharpness and detail are excellent with the B&W treatment and strong backlight. That's a good macro set up. |
