Squirrelby StarbananaComment: Impressive timing. You were very aware of what was going on, and set up to capture it perfectly. More exposure would have washed out the sky, and as a silhouette with highlights, the squirrel looks very good. It's amazing how they can jump like that. |

Lightning over a remote island in the Keysby CoryComment: That's a great shot with a P&S cam, with the shutter button delay. I'm impressed.... and also glad that it missed your boat. Those thunder boomers can really put on a show in the Florida Bay, between the keys and the mainland. |

B&W treesby StarbananaComment: The darker foreground and bright BG adds a lot of depth in this shot. Have you tried experimenting with pulling saturation all the way down, then playing with the individual color sliders to see how it affects contrasts? It's like using strong color filters when shooting B&W film. It can help to bring out detail that would be blended into the BG by only reducing saturation. |

Food 53/Dec 31 - Oliebollenby hajekaComment: The dark BG and backlighting work to accent the shapes and focus attention on the subject in this shot. Happy New Year to you too. |
