Went for a bush walk with some friends on New years day so of course I pack the camera and away we go. I was just poking around a rock platform after we had lunch to see if there were and good shots for the taking and I look up and I see this shot. In my eagerness to take the shot I forgot to change my iso back down (i had just been taking a shot of a crab in a dark spot) but I still think it looks good.

Post production was done in light room where I use a duotone conversion of blue/purple and yellow/gold with a slight crop

I like the duotone in this candid shot. What really makes this though is the pattern in the rocks. All those lines make for a great backdrop behind the photographer.

The PP is great. The duotone looks nice and creates a very artistic feel (and dramatic in a way too) as SandyP said. Beautiful place too.

The layered rock makes an awesome BG. The duotone brings out the best in this as well. The high iso probably added to the contrast which is a good thing in this case.

love the duotone. Interesting place, and great use of the rules of thirds.

I like the use of the leading lines in this photo. I'm not sure If like the coloring you used, but that's more of a personal taste than anything.

An excellent example of how a cool location (and in this case also the dramatic processing thereof) can really make for a great portrait. Nice!
