You Are My Sunshine...by Ja-9Comment: This different POV makes for a very sweet photo of this type flower. The thin yellow edges on the red & black make the shot for me. There you go with that old Vivitar Macro lens again LOL. |

Assassin Bug Nymphby MaryOComment: Excellent tech in this shot. That's a creepy looking critter. It's a good thing that they are not four ft long. I think that it wants your camera. |

Waiting for a friendby girafaComment: I also see the white balance being off a little, but I can't tell exactly what it needs to correct it. It could be that your monitor needs calibration, and you can't see it at your computer. Try looking at the photo on someone else's computer.
This would look good in B&W too. I agree about the composition being very pleasing. |

Harbor Lights by MacDonaldComment: It makes an interesting line that the first four masts are the same height. Overall it's a very pleasing shot. The Moon and Venus are a nice touch, and on the whole, the shot is very similar to something that I would shoot.
This was probably shot RAW, with WB processed from there. I shoot JPG, using tungsten/incandescent WB, for night shooting, and it takes the street light orange out of the sky, giving it a sweet blue cast. |

Fanfare on a Summer Eveningby Bear_MusicComment: I believe that we have seen this boat and dock before. This may have gotten dinged because there is too much in the shot besides the boat.
It's a very peaceful looking scene, maybe processed a little too strongly, making the trees look sort of "blocky" .
For me, that's fine, for voters, maybe not. I like the photo, it tells me a story that I like to hear. |

IMG_4737-skeeterby Bear_MusicComment: I like the full but not oversaturated colors in this shot. That's a pretty cool looking bug too. We have similar bugs here. I wonder what the two little appendages right behind it's wings are for? |

DSC_5423-lotus-2-sfwby The EskimoComment: There are some of these, the same color, where I work. They are definite camera magnets! It is difficult to decide which photo of them is best. I never can remember to sprinkle a little water on them to get the droplets like you did here. |

Place of Worshipby IreneMComment: This photo does capture the essence of "church". I didn't vote, but would have given this a very high mark. It has that "something" about it, and part of that is the sincerity. I will be very surprised if this does not get a Posthumous Award.
My condolences about your relative, Sabine. |

McDougall Church by CitadelComment: The simple design of the church, the light, the open landscape with mountains in the BG, the clouds being just right with the ND, and no power lines, make this whole scene a very pleasing one.
Congrats on the new blue ! |
