Hollis Brownby ColeyComment: Left a laudatory comment ages ago, but failed to post. Definitely the kind of picture that reminds me of why I think of photography as art, why I want to take/make pictures and is so good I don't mind I'm not there yet. |

Old Warehouse Windowby ephlnComment: Interesting study in patterns/textures; the nearly white treatment of windowframe is nicely balanced/ brought down by the foreground foliage, making this a composition not just a collection. (Dpc size limitation doesn't do justice to this sort of thing, imho). |

'The Dear Green Place' by xtineComment: Beauty of a BW, beauty of an interpretation of the theme, of composition, DOF, and the taxi, the lovely taxi. And everything behind - the raison d'etre of the taxi. (Your stuff is always interesting). |

Sticks and Stonesby jdannelsComment: Great take on the challenge, giving us more than we thought to ask. (Lewis Mumford would have been pleased). |

Paintby MAKComment: Everything works. One of the most "contained" entries, if that makes any sense. |

Rural peaceby BrinComment: Delicious real surreal. Ditto Boyd2000 about the contours. |

Lone Graineryby dw_photoComment: The barn, the sky and the horizon are terrific. (I wonder how this would work with the foreground cropped up and, if there is more to the right and left in the original photo, how a wider view would be, sacrificing the rule of thirds. Humble opinion). |

serene scene outtakeby wsteynComment: Like this better: though less dramatic, it has more grace. The curving lines almost converging to the right lead us to imagine the farm nestled in its amazing surroundings. (Prolly wouldn't have scored as high on DPC). |
