Hail To The Chief?by GeneralEComment: Yes! We've got or used to have a smaller version of this beastie, Dracunculus/is something, and when the sun hits it it smells something awful, and though a bit phallic it made no political comment. (Very nice shot). |

homemadeby yorkvilleComment: Simple and colourful. A higher score if I didn't think that thing with the white base were an upended bottle of ketchup. |

grandpaby phreakComment: This is a wonderful engaging refreshing portrayal. The expression and lighting and framing which make the composition (lines, shapes, spaces) work extremely and subtly well. |

Another rainy dayby purpleflutterby13Comment: I very much like this too - not just a mood and feel, but a very rewarding composition to contemplate. (Thanks to diamondbob for showcasing it). |

What my town was built fromby eyesdownComment: My first thought was Saskatchewan - almost the same. Very good with the title concept. (Your town and nearly everyone else's; this conjures up the whole gamut of western settlement). Everything in this photo serves its purpose. jpeters might have a point about the sky - maybe more playing with the colour channels in the bw conversion. |

my country heartby skewsmeComment: Original and totally effective treatment. As pineapple might say, I can look at this and feel, and maybe learn. |
