Good perspective and thought. Agree that varying the composition might show things up better, but I like the elements; spider, flag, what looks like a real estate sign, and the big car. Pineapple's time of day suggestion is excellent. |

While I like the viewpoint and colos, I agree with what Moose says about the lack of subject - that was my first thought also. Google "rule of thirds" - it's a great place to start at when thinking about composition.

There is no clear subject in this photo. What are you trying to have stand out? Is it the spider? The street? The SUV? The flag? Try zooming in on the important portion of the photo. |

Nice viewpoint. How about shooting this at dusk when the street lights are on and the sky is luminous. That would give it some extra pop. Suburbia is a subject.. whatever that guy above is saying.
