The light is very harsh and the colors seem faded. The composition could use some work as well. Maybe use a different angle and add more elements to the composition. These things might help some.

I would guess that this is one of the images that people are complaining about as far as it is not a "still life". All of that aside, I like the way you framed the bird with the leaves, but the subject is so far away and out of focus. You are probably restricted by your equipment so I am assuming that you did what you could. Also if you move the subject out of the center and off to one side it will help make the composition more appealing. Just my feelings, and no I did not take off points for "not meeting the challenge."

I really like this image. I might even like it more if there was a pinch more contrast and I would possibly like to see it with some toneing. But other than that I feel the composition is great and so is the light. Good subjects for the time of year as well. One of my favorites for the challeng.

This is a very nice image. I like the shalow dof, the composition, and the light. The spot in the lower right hand corner is a bit distracting though.

I feel that this image could have benefited from more contrast and saturation. The colors are flat and nothing really pops out at me. It was a good thought and with a little color compensation it could be alot better.

I like the lighting used and I like that you tried a tilted angle, but this image and or subject still come across to me as no pop value. Maybe with the ame lighting get really close to one edge of the board and shoot the perspective that way. Of course depending on your equipment you might not be able to focus that close.

I don't like that it is out of focus. Probably got too close for your cameras limits. I really like how you tried to light the subjects and I like the color.

What is supposed to be still about this image. I know that some have pushed the boundries by shooting someone just sitting still, but this shot is all about action. What were yout thoughts when you created the image? It would help me better understand where you are coming from.
