Ok, I am a little confused - this neither blurry, chaotic, nor disorganised. I am trying to work out if there is some deeper message you are trying to impart that broadly does fit in with the challenge - I shall revisit later.

I find this a little too chaotic to be aesthetically pleasing. The areas of white are very bright, almost retina burning!

Woah, this isn't doing my Menieres any good! The composition is good for the zoom burst and does give something of the sense of motion that you get when pigeons sre in a feeding frenzy.

I didn't look at the silverware challenge while it was in voting, so this is new to me - it's lovely! The composition is really pretty, and the tonal range is superb, really bringing the pattern in the spoon out. I gather you don't normally drink tea - shock, horror!

Hamish, good on you for taking all the comments in the spirit in which they were intended. It is good to experiment with new ideas and techniques - sometimes the results work, sometimes not, but experimentation will ultimately make you a better at both photography and post-processing (I really should take some of my own medicine....). All that said, you have some wonderful photos in your portfolio; Pensive is gorgeous!
