Challenge: Blurry Mess (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon PowerShot S2 IS
Location: studio
Date: Mar 11, 2008
Galleries: Humorous, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Mar 11, 2008

I entered this to offer voters a visual relief after viewing too many "out of focus" blurry messes over and over. I was also curious to see if these blades had enough gravity to sink to the depths of the DPC underworld where brown ribbons are found. Note: beware of oversharpening your blades (or your photos). I speak from experience.

Oooohh... missed it by one?? You are definitely the sharpest tool in the shed in my book.

Missed the brown by only one place. A creative brown attempt. I salute you.

Some people commenting here could do with an USB port to download some clues!

sharpening until it looses all detail and becomes a blur. excellent.

This isn't even an artistic statement. I just don't understand why people like you submit photographs that you know don't even try to meet the challenge - what's so good about trying to get a brown ribbon?

Intentional to be too sharp?

good concept, but a complete contradiction to the theme.

Not sure this is blurry or messy

not really blurry, or are you doing a sharp contrast to the challenge.

Sharp more than blurry, and not at all messy.

blurry?

This is one image where I think oversharpened is quite appropriate! Unfortunately, it does not strike me as a chaotic, blurry mess in the least way. In fact, it very clear and precise.

I'm wondering if you meant to enter this in a different challenge? I like it a lot - it looks like a steel flower, but it isn't blurry. Will skip voting on it.

Looks quite organised and not really blurry or chaotic ... the picture also looks a bit over processed to me, sorry

I like the diacotomy. Sharp vs. blurry

too much sharpening and though some grain, no real blur. good shot though.

You'll never get the brown with this, not with this crowd.

I'm guessing this is a bit of a protest against the challenge, both metaphorically and literally?

Ok, I am a little confused - this neither blurry, chaotic, nor disorganised. I am trying to work out if there is some deeper message you are trying to impart that broadly does fit in with the challenge - I shall revisit later.

Not quite sure what you were going for here, this doesn't look blurry or messy. It looks more focused and neat.

This would have been good for the silverware challenge but fails to meet this challenge IMHO. There is little to no blur and with the uniformity of the blades pointing together it is neither chaotic or disorganized.

not exactly blurry.......
