Delicate Beautyby jayzundelComment: Pasque flowers are lovely, aren't they; I particularly like the feathery fronds of the spent flower, and which you have included top right. The light here is rather harsh - you may want to try using very early morning, or late afternoon/early evening light next time you take flower shots - the difference it makes is quite marked. |

Tulip Fieldby punk_kaosComment: A very different approach, and pleasing. The soft focus and interesting use of focal point and dof echoes the delightful softness of the colour. |

Outstanding in the Fieldby grahamgatorComment: Pleasing composition, colours and bokeh - I particularly like the way the focus falls off to show softly focussed flowers echoing the main subject, all the way through to an impressionistic swathe of coloured bokeh. Personally not very keen on the green border, but no deductions for it. |

Pink on Greenby banmornComment: A lovely composition, well composed, with colours that are reflected in the dog rose in my garden. The damage to th leaf (lower right) is unfortunate, and now I have spotted the perfect 'hole punch' circles, my eyes are drawn back to them - it might have been worth snipping them off before taking the photo. |

water colorby curtpetguyComment: Positives - well photographed, lovely light, good depth of field, with the poppy, and particularly the bud standing out well.
Negatives - for me, at least, cerise and red are not a good combination, with the cerise geranium adding a rather garish feel. I also find my eye following the 'gaze of the poppy' and drawn out of the photo. |
