I love your subject! I think this would have really popped with a deeper dof, or with the focus range pushed just a little bit further away. The oof center of the flower detracts for me.

for me...I would have preferred to have the center of the flower in sharp focus

A bit more depth of field would have helped. Having all of the spider but only a part of the flower in focus shifts the attention away from what is supposed to be your subject. that said, great find, and a better photo than entry. Might have done better in color on color or free study.
