commute-bw.jpgby kolasiComment: what a cool angle and a telling theme - soldiers of business waiting for the next stop - i just wish you could have been even closer to remove some of the foreground empty space - it might have even more impact. |

Abstract sky (Week 13)by booboo_goonComment: this perspective shot almost comes off as a collection of five or six photos - the strong boxes framed by the buildings creates a mosaic feel to this shot - excellent work |

what directionby MephistoComment: You are the master of these abandoned buildings Christoph. Capturing some kinetic energy in the shot on top of the warmth of the lighting is a nice twist to this series. |

Week 13 - Man on dikeby hajekaComment: The isolation of this shot is quite good, but I almost wonder if it needs a bit more contrast to really come off |

Winter Fractalby Bear_MusicComment: Robert - I think your score suffered from a lack of scientific understanding o the viewers part and a lack of uniform patterns in the image. I quite like your vision here to find the fractals in the tree and feel this clearly meets the challenge well in a refreshing approach. I side with Deb that I see a bit much blue halo and I am sure some voters voted you down on it. If I have voted, I would have likely given this a 6 |

Instructions: Keep rubber side downby Yo_SpiffComment: I think this has some solid technicals - focus, good contrast of colors, nice lines and angles, but my impression of the shot is that there is actually a few conflicting sets of patterns that disrupt the viewer. The tire tread is a great set of patterns and carries our eyes through the image, but the spokes of the wheel is another set of patterns and one that actually confounds us a bit. But the main patterns that don't seem to work for me are the shadows - especially to the right of the image. A tire without the wheel on the same background with a bit more light coming from the right to fill the background - or a placement farther away from the backround so that the shadow is diminished - may have worked a lot better. |

Pedestrianby MelethiaComment: So Deb...You feel like me? I really like this image and your decision to go b/w. I find your vision and view point refreshing and I tend to be drawn to your work. This is another example - What is the pattern? Do I see the same one as the photographer? Your work challenges us a bit more and I think that is actually a very good thing, but unfortunately not very rewarding if you are trying to go for a 6+ score...
