Just for fun.
A lot of picking up bolts from the floor.
I wanted a little bit more reflection but it was hard to get.

I think this is my favorite of the screw and nail cities I've seen so far. I love the shallow DOF, and the silvery tones are just absolutely lovely. Awesome work.

Very creative - the arrangement & lighting are great! My favorite of the "skyline" shots << 8 >>

Sweet...reminiscent of Metropolis or the Matrix or something. Great composition!

The concept is creative, but with a gray background doesnt stand out as much. A brightly colored background would have made the silver of the objects stand out.

Great idea and well executed - I think if it had not been for river city in steel (which although I feel both pictures are as strong as each other possibly imo has one or two little additional touches) this would have ribboned. Still deserving of a very high score and a great placing. Terrific image and spot on in meeting the challenge

This picture would be more intersting if there was more to the background

Beautiful. Love the bokeh and colour. Nuts, bolts and screws have never looked so good.

Nice to see good use of DOF here and the BG colour works well for the overall look.

This is such a unique idea, I can't believe two people (so far) have done this, very nicely executed.

I think with the scoring on this one you could be screwed.
Very clever looking city scape

The b&w gives a nice point of difference

Unique and well done. I think it fits the challenge perfectly.

a familiar concept in this challenge - i like the use of shallow DOF - but the sides of the image seem too cut off and there could be more reflection to help the image and convey the landscape more

Needs a .25 rotation cw but other than that, it's perfect! I love this kind of creativity. Crisp definition, nice bokeh happening, technically, it's a skyline not a landscape, but I won't say anything :) 9

PS I've just seen another two photos similar to yours and I like this one better by far. You'll know why.

A couple of these in the challenge. I like your DOF, well done.

good shot but too many objects are same height, makes pic a little bland.

there's another similar one but this is better...a great idea for the challenge, love the sq crop and the colours and depth of field 9

DOF is great in this one ... gives the feeling of an expansive 'city'

Love it, especially the other outlines blurring into the distance

Very good effort, lighting a little too flat. Would suggest that you space out the objects a little further apart. When I look at the image it feels too congested. 6

wow - this is the 4th one like this so far. I like the monochrome cool color in this one.

quite good attempt at copying Carl Warners shot. POV is too high, crop could be a little closer, lighting could be enhanced, is too frontal. had enjoyed to see more of the reflection
