my first thought was that golfer guy .. and this is something his wife did for him .. but of course there may be other Larry's in dpc .. and i dont think he's old enough ..
this is actually quite a tender and lovely image .. and one that i hope you will keep .. the photograph that is ..
the beautiful hand crafted tapestry or whatever it is is beyond wonderful .. and something i can imagine being passed down to your children and grandchildren .. its very precious ..

lol lol hahahahaha .. i saw the pic and thought .. nice basket .. then i read your title .. that did it for me .. in a very good way .. you have created a funny story with your pic and your words .. always a great thing ..
of course after the first view i looked again at what i had initially thought was a perfect creation .. and saw a couple of very obvious flaws .. lol ..
this would actually look good as a decoration .. as i'm not sure it would stay together long to carry anything .. no offense meant .. ;)

WOW .. looks like the maker of that plane has his/her competition cut out for him/her with the person who took the photo .. as in the talent .. if they are one and the same person then what a talented and creative person you are ..
loving the sopwith camel .. i can imagine that when its finished being made another wonderful photo could be in the offing ... or a series of its transformation ..
but even at this stage .. not fully finished .. its a thing of beauty ..
