ok .. in my head when this opened .. i went .. OH WOW ... !!!!!
i havent seen much of your competition .. so i dont know how this would stack up in the challenge .. but its a stand out image ... everything about this is wonderful .. the saturated colours .. well on my monitor at least .. and the sunbathers ... who knew that those guys could share a special moment ... or three ...
having looked a bit closer .. i'm not sure about the alligator tho .. or is he a crocodile .. but that look in his eye has me worried for those turtles/tortoises ..
not going that well with species identification am i ...
anyway .. this is definitely an OH WOW .. fantastic composition as well btw ..
hoping this goes really well ...

like is the water right up to the walkway or whatever it is .. its almost like an optical illusion ..

thankyou so much for your comment Barbara .. i kept the bottom so there was more of the 'funnel' coming down from the 'space ship' .. into the darkness sort of .. like a bit foreboding ..
i took many of photos of water coming out of the tap in my kitchen sink onto the vegetable steamer .. i'd take a heap of shots and then upload them onto the computer and check them out .. i did that several times ..i wanted the water totally in focus and a pleasing composition as well .. not an easy thing to get especially as the tap was getting in the way of the lens .. i tried 3 different lenses in my attempts as well .. i've never done anything like this before so it was a real learning curve .. water does have a mind of its own .... anyway when i saw this one i felt i had the one i wanted .. i rotated the image in photoshop and then did a heap of stuff to it ...

once again i see a wonderful abstract .. and notice the low votes ..
so many wonderful and imaginative images in this challenge got really low votes ..
so disappointing .. makes this site feel quite unwelcoming actually ... and yes i know ppl have different tastes .. but 2's and 3's i would think should be reserved for total crap .. excuse the french ..

it really is very disappointing that ppl vote on assumptions ..
your title had no bearing on how much i liked this .. it was like a will-o-wisp passing thru my mind .. the impact for me was in the visual ..
but i was blown away by all the low votes on some amazing images in this challenge .. of course ppl do have different tastes .. but like i say .. disappointing .. i personally never give a score less than 5 ... i feel if someone is going to go to the trouble of entering a photo i'll give them points for that .. :)
