Monument (a month of blur)

oh yeah .. this has a very horror movie feel to me too !! .. spose it could have something to do with the b&w, the monument and the black bird blurred the way it is !! .. fantastic the way his head is very sharp but the wings are just full of movement .. he looks just about superimposed on the scene .. this is absolutely brilliant .. a work of art .. an amazingly excellent capture .. great processing .. :)

day 6. the movie star

this is wot i said in the last one ....
[i]hey shanny ... excellent the way you've combined the sharp and the blurred images ... i especially love the way he's looking out'v the frame which is of course one of the no-no's of design .. i reckon its always good to just totally break the rules .. this works so well even with his face out'v frame in the body shots .. you've really succeeded in making something out'v nothing .. !! :):)x

well nick .. this was stunning as a thumb and its stunning opened .. fantastic colours with a very cross process feel .. i dont know whether you actually did that in your process but wotever you did works really well .. i love the depth and intensity of this photograph .. how amazing when i consider its just some flowers .. you obviously have not only a talent for panoramic scenery, candids of people especially on footpaths!!, volkswagons, black & white's, self-portraits and now flowers .. :)

yes it is amazing how the darkness of this image makes it just about sinister or as you say he looks threatened ..
like i'm wondering wots behind him making him run away ..
the legs of the ppl are much less distinct in this version, and it looks like he might be threatened by not only wots behind him but wots in front as well ..
in the colour version i'm focused on him and wot he's running towards with no thought of wots behind him ..
of course its his mum in her role as the photographer, and that can be a scarey thing as well .. lol lol .. .. and thats mainly an observation of how ppl react to me, rather than any comment on you personally !!!.. :):)

an interesting story and an unusual photograph considering the angle !! .. there's quite a contradiction in feel with that little kid all smiley and cute and a bit of a pest and then the statue with its sad and painful story .. you could'v cropped him out then you could have had a shot with a bit'v humour and a shot with a more dark and atmosperic feel .. either way its a great shot .. :)
