beautiful thoughts and a beautiful photograph .. as it was scrolling down, and before i saw that excellent red flower, i was thinking it didnt have much to recommend it with nothing to focus on .. and then whammo !!! .. that gorgeous flower, (is it a protea (sp?)?) poking up into that blurred background became visible ... just excellent .. i would'v been tempted to crop off a bit at the top & that's just a personal preference, but i do like it the way it is as well ..

i'm seeing that phone sitting on the table with your composition & blur and getting a feeling that someone is waiting for it to ring .. i'm also getting the feeling that they'll be waiting an awful long time !!! .. that's wot this image does for me, it tells a story, which is an excellent thing .. it also makes me feel sad ... i think i need some comfort food right now !! :)
edit after having another look after posting ..
i think the effect of the lens baby is making me think that the person looking at that phone is crying .. when i wrote that first bit i didnt realise why this made me feel sad .. :)
now to the fridge !!!

OMG .. this is the most incredible image .. such depth, such balance, such excellent contrasts & such an interesting 'story' with that cute little dog so focused on the plastic bag .. i'm imagining that it might have some raw meat from the butcher in it !! .. this is a totally perfect photograph and i love your processing .. your black and white images, especially, are to die for !! :) ..
