great shot of mother bird on the nest .. we have a noisy miner in our yard that made its nest on a jasminoide .. the three young birds hatched only a few days ago .. when they were eggs i was able to get very close and have a look, but now that they've hatched i cant get within 10 feet without the mother dive bombing me ... shame coz i was looking forward to taking their picture .. i've considered wearing a big coat with a hood and leather gloves just so i can get close enough .. i better hurry, coz they probably grow pretty quick .. :)

when greg gregoryb was making his comment i was looking at this with him and we both thought is was pretty terrific ... also wondered if it was smoke, clouds or fog ... it looks like smoke the way it seems to be coming up from the ground .. but if its clouds then they're behaving differently from ours .. !!
this is such a WOW image .. i also love how the close up trees form an excellent border .. :)

you did good .. brilliant shot and i love your processing .. you've captured so well those vibrant autumn colours .. i'm usually into ornate or busy borders but this totally works & i really like that i can see a small bit of the fence behind .. it adds a certain 'something' behing the leaves .. like a background border .. hope you can get out for your walk/photographs soon .. i go mad when i cant get some form of exercise .. :)
