Into the Lightby TranquilComment: Back to bump you up one notch to an 8. The lines created by the shadows are very appealing. |

Future generations...by pyritjennyComment: Nice creative take on the challenge. Don't usually love shadows, as they can detract, but these are nice and add a sense of depth. 7. |

Morning Rainby UbersteinyComment: Although this looks more like a raspberry cane than a tree, this is a lovely photo, beautiful exposure control and composition with drop. |

A Single Treeby xXxscarletxXxComment: Interesting, someone must have suspected you played with the shadow/highlight tool to achieve exposed so evenly given the lighting conditions. I'll be curious to know how you did pull this off - maybe set the contrast to very low and upped the sharpness? Maybe used some fill lighting? Anyway, nice solid entry. |

down to the riverby SkipComment: Simple and lovely. I especially love that I can pick Orion out of the sky. Adds a sense of familiarity to this scene. 7. |

Foggy morning at the Cemetaryby doug61853Comment: Really nice exposure control here. Sure, the headstones could use a bit of dodging, but this photo doesn't suffer from lack of PS. Great job. 7. |

tree linedby undieyatchComment: I like the minimal use of trees here, but they are definitely present. Moody, will probably be underrated. 7 from me. |

The Stargazers by jdannelsComment: This is really superb for straight from camera. Sure, it would be nice to fix the blown celestial object on the left, but you are getting a great score from me for the beautiful stars, motion in the curve of the hill, and great composition with the trees. I also like that you took a risk with 4 trees instead of the magical 3 that is supposed to be used for everything, LOL. |
