Congratulation on your new personal best. You deserved it with this shot.

Some people said you should make the background blacker. I happen to like the folds in the fabric. Maybe the problem is it is in between. It's a little too dark to see the fabric, and a little to light to be a pure black. I'd go for lighter, because you seem to have taken some care to arrange the fabric, and I think that would be more interesting than the stock shot you'd get with pure black.

I love this composition and of course the subject is fantastic. The girl looks like she is a personified puppy for sale.

I'm not fond of the processing. I think the blue tone is distracting rather than enhancing. And something about the harsh light on the girl's face bothers me. However that bright spot does serve to immediately capture my attention. Also the back window looks like it has been burned a bit too much. Something about that gray is distracting and unnatural.

I think the toes of the cowboy boots in the lower corner are distracting, and if it were my photo, I would remove them. I do like the legs behind the window; they add to the whole sense of the girl and puppies being on display.

I'm just being picky with all these nits. I think this is a fabulous photo, and I'm surprised you didn't use it for "Street Photography".

This is good, Jeffrey. I think it deserved a better score. The strong yellow with black and white is very effective. It's cute and amusing, and definitely meets the challenge.

I'm interested in the tripod. I'll look it up on the website.

The Abomination

Something must be wrong with me. I gave this an 8, for two reasons: first I think it really is an abomination, and second I really like it. The clincher for the abomination part is the "preppy" pink and green border. What I like the best is the vibrant color of the image. Really cheers me up to see it.

I only cropped a very tiny bit off the bottom because the edge of the backdrop was visible. I like the idea of more negative space on the right. I will try to create that by increasing the size of the canvas.

Raish, I don't understand the personification here. Plenty of people did, so it's just my density. I love the title. It is my high school class motto, and I do try to live by it.
