What a COOL photo! She is adorable! I love the puppy in the window too. What's the story behind this photo. It really draws you in and makes you want to know it.

I love this composition and of course the subject is fantastic. The girl looks like she is a personified puppy for sale.

I'm not fond of the processing. I think the blue tone is distracting rather than enhancing. And something about the harsh light on the girl's face bothers me. However that bright spot does serve to immediately capture my attention. Also the back window looks like it has been burned a bit too much. Something about that gray is distracting and unnatural.

I think the toes of the cowboy boots in the lower corner are distracting, and if it were my photo, I would remove them. I do like the legs behind the window; they add to the whole sense of the girl and puppies being on display.

I'm just being picky with all these nits. I think this is a fabulous photo, and I'm surprised you didn't use it for "Street Photography".

First of all I want to say that I'm not the best at rating a photo "Technically". I guess I don't know that much about tonal range and all that other neat stuff. However, I do know if I like a photo or find it appealing.

Sooooooo,

I think this is a really nice shot. It kind of reminds me of something that, whats her name, the name slips my mind, Oh yeah, I know, silverfoxx would do. Believe me Catherine, that's a big time compliment. I'm not sure DPC would appreciate this shot but I think it's great.

excellent photo Catherine, a girl with puppies and people watching them.it makes me think about privacy of course, and also I would love to hear her story! I have a feeling no matter what I imagine her story is the real story would be deeper than I imagine. great idea, but I also agree with Jayson, maybe a bit too strong on the blue side, but maybe this is also what makes the photo so strong?

Wow, that is a powerful shot, Catherine. So much emotion, definitely makes me want to know her story. And the evidence of people outside of the box looking in tells another part of it. Evokes a sense of no one being willing to rescue her from whatever brought her to this cage.

I like the light coming in and the mood of the child really works well. The three sets of legs around the case give this alot of character. I am not sure of the blue. I know you were going for cyanotype and to fit the mood, I just think it is a little too strong in the blue department. Still an interesting shot and does make you think which is always a good thing.

She looks so forlorn! The story I see is that these are her puppies and she has to give them away to strangers... I like the boots in the lower left corner and the legs in the window. Also really like how the window is dirty from puppy noses. There's also a sadly disturbing interpretation to this as well. I like the picture.

Ha! I love it! If this photo had "good technicals" it would be pointless. Instead, it's a whole story, a whole movie, a whole feeling.
