I like the strands of hay hanging in the mane. And I like the windows in the background. They balance the heavy close up of the subject. I like the b&w conversion -- nice contrast and light.

I like your story of trying to get this portrait. I really like it and envy it, because I haven't ever gotten a shot of a snail -- only empty shells. The tiny glass makes the snail look quite large -- interesting effect. I think its a terrific capture and composition. It lacks a bit of light. Perhaps a white balance adjustment, to make the background less gray would help. Try a curves layer in luminosity mode.

My first impression was -- GREAT, I love the detail and DOF and the bug itself. Then I thought I'd like to see it better. I agree with Bassbone, a bit of brightening would help.

Oh my goodness, this is really interesting. It looks like it is still an embryo. Do you raise rabbits, or did you find this? You must have used a macro setting. This is a very clear closeup.

Dark Sky with Gulls #3 P&S

Lovely. There is an odd feeling about this. Because of the darkness, it feels like a bright moonlight shot. But the birds wouldn't be standing around at night. I like the way the birds and the tree stand out against the lightest part of the sky.

Day 4 - men on the bridge

I like the curve and the colors. It's an odd thing, because I can't really understand what it is. I doesn't seem very high, because the street light is there. And the interesting glass panel with paper stuck on it doesn't seem to belong. Nice lines, and lots to wonder about.
