I have absolutely no idea whatsoever why this didn't score better.

The only thing I could possibly think of to do would maybe to have cropped it a little differently on the right to move him to the side of the image and possibly to lighten it to bring up his clothing.

I kind of agree about the tree seeming at odds somewhat, but I also see Kelli's perspective about the tree crying, though I wouldn't have seen that myself. I do like the B&W conversion as it works well with the lighting. All in all not a bad image at all IMO. I'm always a sucker for ripples & reflections.

I love the composition, not so much the color/tone processing. I'd love to see this in a low or no-sat version. It should have done better IMO. It is a lovely, peaceful setting.

Kelli, I like it 'cause of being a Pennsylvania boy and knowing about the Mummer's Parade. That said, I think it got slammed because of there not being so much of a defined subject in spite of the reveler in center stage. It's very busty, and honestly, he doesn't stanmd out from the other celebrants, but they are glaringly different from their surroundings.

But you still have a fun, cool shot for the memories!!! I LOVE his/her costume!!! Nice job!
