Day 24by CharleneComment: What a hilarious photo. At first glance I thought "It looks like someone praying at an altar." And so it is!
That was a fascinating story. I should probably have known about it but I've never followed sports very closely. Here's the wikipedia entry on Brett's Pine Tar Incident.

I'm sure your dad feels the same way! How cool that he is on this site, too.
Good, bold colors. The oval sign looks good in the square crop. I hope your car is okay!

Day 21by kellyrc01Comment: Interesting shot, Kelly. Heavy PP would get your entry trounced if this was a voter challenge, but for experimenting it's just great. I like the three levels of water, and it looks like you chose an interesting backdrop, too. Keep up the good work, and hey, thanks for all your recent comments. It's a great way to have people check you out, and get great free advice (such as TC Guru's comment on your self-portrait).

Day-20.jpgby KenComment: Nice soft focus, yet the butterfly is nice and sharp. Good natural-looking colors, too. A very pretty photo. I like how the slender stalks help frame the butterfly. |

Day-21.jpgby KenComment: This is very nice, with good colors. I'm surprised by the noise in the daytime sky, even at ISO 400. I thought you didn't get noise with a DSLR until you were at like ISO 1600 or something. I wonder what some selective denoising would do? With that straight horizon you could probably just use your rectangular selection tool.
The water looks really refreshing, and a much more pleasant scene than my concrete "beach" in NYC. That's a shame about the E.Coli.

Family Unitby GermaineComment: Wow, you are creating your own textures? Cool. I thought you were shooting through a window and I was seeing reflections from the interior.
I like how the lamp at top helps balance your composition. |

Lost in Time by elsapoComment: Congrats on your blue ribbon. Of course I thought of your other frame photo when I saw this -- I'm glad to see this is yours, too. Well done! |
