Good product shot. With the plastic bag and the sticker, it's like it has been quarantined! I don't dislike Hello Kitty, but I like Totoro more. :-)

I've never seen a flower like this. I really like the darkness, but I suspect in a voter challenge you'd need more glow from the flower to score high. Good close up and I like the position of the flower in the frame. Nice, too, how the leaves help naturally frame the flower.

I love neon lighting. It's very easy to blow out, so you did a good job. "Amy's" sounds like Cold Stone Creamery, a franchise that does the same thing.

Day20 - Test Shots

That's really interesting. Note to self: don't drink the client's product! :-)

I know this was all about the lighting, but this shows a few things that you'll know about next time. For example, the frosted glass really makes the first shot special, so you'd want to have a big supply on hand for repeated takes. I've also noticed in other people's shots the importance of having the backdrop ironed.

Others have said it's a little dark, perhaps a very soft reflective fill light would have been agreeable. I suspect the number of origami entries hurt you a bit, but I'm glad you made the top fifty. This was my favorite of the bird shots and one of my top ten photos (I gave you a 9).

Nice shot. What a cool little guy -- so alien. Isn't it funny how that one hair on the ground stands out with the close-up and shallow DOF?

This is a fun photo. Do you think children will continue to love these books in a couple of generations? Your grandchildren might think this is an awesome photo.
